Clutch kills my Car...any answers?
K, so i have a 00 SI, stock motor..
i looked under the head, found one of the spark plugs, has 2 spacers on it, not sure why, ...but for hte most part they were clean..
then i put everything back together, and then i started to realize this
My car's Dieing, when i push the clutch in...
the car Idle's are 800-900 Rpm's...
and when i push the clutch in, it drops down to 200 or just kills it...
My Oil light is also On, when the car is Below 1000 Rpms, but when its above 1000 RPM's oil light goes off...
i then did this test, Start the car, and immediatly let off the clutch, It will start idle rough at first, but bring itself to idle just fine..
Then i started it and held clutch it, it idles rough, and then just kills itself,
so is there something clutch related here, that could possibly be killing my car??
Anyone got any solution to this? ever had a problem with it?
whats going onn?

Sounds like a very abused motor to me. 2 spacers probably means the idiot before stacked them somehow. An oil light at idle mean you're getting less than 4psi at idle - you should be getting 10-20psi at idle instead.
I'm not sure about how OBD2 computers handle idle, but something tells me that the ecu may be screwed up. It is probably trying to reduce the load on the motor at idle by reducing the IACV pulsing, but instead seals the IACV leading to it dying. Bad bearings can make it worse by causing a lot more friction at idle.
One thing you can try is re-setting idle. I think it's the same as OBD1 cars, meaning start the car, unplug the IACV, set the idle via adjustment screw to 400rpm (usually paint-sealed on the throttle body, 3/8" wide recessed flathead), then reset the ecu and plug everything back together.
However all that will be in vain if your bearings are toast. An oil light at idle tends to indicate that, and if so, it will not last long at all. 1000 miles at most.

also im pretty sure a headgasket is blown, cause after awhile when the car's warm it starts spitting out oil onto the headers.. (not alot, very little...) ... so could that deal with the Oil light coming on??... and maybe its losing compression? ...
or pretty much is my motor junk? ...and should just buy a new one?
