who is NOT using a distributor?
I mean, sure it's a little more convienent, but it is more complicated, less taylorable. And has more parasitic drag.
So who ISN'T?
And would a two channel digital ignition work? wouldn't there have to be a selector for each of two banks the two coils control.
I need info.

I'm going to be using a coil pack. The coil I am using is setup as two coils, one for two cylinders. Although, it's only one piece both coils are together. Anyway, for me I have it running off of my standalone. I have a 60 tooth trigger wheel with a sensor on my crank pulley and that takes care of my timing and spark.
I recently saw an ad for one that had a B series crank trigger available in their catalog. Can't remember which one it was though.....
By any chance did you see this in a tec3 add they have crank triggers available for hondas. I personally dont like the way they have the sensor mounted.-pdang

Has any 1 though about incorporating the stock Honda CFK sensor as a pickup as a crank angle.
Only thing is would have to reconfigure the ecu setup for a smaller diameter and different amount of teeth unless it is modified...

I don't run a distributor on my boosted H23. I run individual coils on each plug, no coil packs. I don't use late model Honda coils because they have ignitors built in and an MSD won't fire them. I run an Autronic SMC ecu along with an MSD DIS4. My ecu uses 1 hall effect sensor on the crank and 1 on the intake cam. I biult the trigger wheels and sensor brackets myself. The cam trigger sticks out of the back of the head where the cam plug normally resides. The crank trigger wheel bolts to the back of an Unorthodox crank pulley. It works sweet.
My boosted S2000 motor uses the same coils and ecu/ignition setup. (I don't use the S2000 coils because of the ignitors)

What type of computer are you running? I have a Haltech with two MSD 6A boxes and four coils. I will post pics of my modified dist. I called Electromotive and they stated that I could not use there setup with my Haltect, I don't know about others.
wait a minute here... At my work, we build these paper folders, and they have a COG Gear on them, with a magnetic pickup to adjust speed... Now, can i take one of those cog gears w/ the magnetic pickup, modify the distributor so the cog goes on the cam where the distributor would normally hookup, and run the magnetic pickup to an MSD Digital Box? Does the cog need to be a certain size? what size would it need to be?
