I have the same question. Is there anything better to wrap it with instead of aluminum foil that will last? The CEL doesn't really bother me that much, but it'd be nice if it only came up when there was an actual problem with my car.
2.25 test pipe, 14 months and counting and no CEL. And yes I wrapped my secondary tightly in aluminum foil. The foil lasts about 6 months if you drive daily and up to two years if you drive your R as often as I do. Which is twice a month at best.
so every 6 months you have to unbolt the cat and put foil into that thing?wat a hassle i hate the cel, do you wrap it tightly? okay i might try it then instead of buying another car sound since the stock one cost alot more
or is it best to change obd1?

No luck on the foil for me, but that was a civic also.
I tried to wire up the O2 Sensor "fooler" and also had no luck with that.

The o2 sensor fooler works if you follow the instructions and wire it up correctly.
Make sure you solder all of your connections.

I had to wrap mine (1997 ITR) in foil, then in duck tape, then in a zip lock bag. Zip tied it to the shift linkage, and had one occurrance of it in the 2 years I ran it that way. All I had to do at that time was rewrap it.
