Ok, I received the MSD 6520 digital 6 plus ignition and I had a friend selling a brand new MSD 8251 coil. On MSD's website, they say the 8251 is for the 7 series ignitions. They recommend 8252. Has anyone ran the 8251 with a digital 6 plus?

I have the Blaster SS Coil and it works fine.

 

I've ran the blaster ss coil also and nothing but problems. I have a few buddies running the blaster HVC coil with no problems at all. I am running a blaster HVC coil on the next setup. Just a thought. Paul

I run the digital 6+ with stock coil, no problems.

 

as per MSD the blaster SS is whats it the best coil to be used with the digital series ignitions. I asked thme befoer i got mine too becuase i wanted to get the one actually designed for my application to be safe.

 

The blaster HVC coil is recomened for the Digital 6+.
