Just curious how much a set of OEM GSR cams would be worth and if there is any difference between them and B16 cams? Asking cause Im selling them, not buying..

 

I think you could get about $1000 each.

no seriously, i think they go for like $120 for the set. But, its hard to sell them.

 

I sold mine for $60.00 with my stock Cam Gears too. They all had 6000 miles on them only.

I know they arent, but I just got JDM ITR's goin in and wanted to try and make SOMETHING back at least..

 

 

I would just keep them. You probably are not going to get what they are worth anyway. Better to keep them as back up parts.

 

I kept mine as back up parts, just in case.

 

I kept my JDM SiVTEC (GSR) cams too when i bought CTR cams, i didnt think they were worth anything, i've seen auctions for GSR cams on ebay start at $40 with no reserve and not get a single bid! Anyone know if JDM Si cams are the same as GSR cams, and would a first generation B16a benifit any from them?

Absolutley. Thats your target buyer right there. the cams in the 1st gen b16 are theworst of the vtec motors. I installed a set into my friends 1st gen b16 and he felt a noticeable difference. Also, if the valves are still within spec after the install, they can get away without an adjustment. When i did the install, I found that the clearances are the same, and after checking them, I didnt have to adjust anything.

 

yup, I actually found a buyer for them, and he has a 1st gen B16.. $375 Canadian, so thats like what, $40 USD? hahahah
