Default Does compression affect emmisions?

I was thinking about getting a mugen headgasket and some skunk2 valves for my car while the head is off, but I am also considering going to the smog ref also to see if I can get my car legalized, but I dont know if my emmisions will be worse with the higher compression? I think it will be up to 10.8 or so (i think the headgasket raises it .5 and the valves .3) please correct me if I am wrong.

If you get the right fuel/air ratio you'll be fine.. but that's hard to do w/engine work unless you're running hondata or something like that. Usually when you bump up compression only a little, you'll be okay though.

I see, well I guess I'll hold off on it for now though, and work on getting the hondata before any major mods. I just found out it is gonna cost me a little more than i thought to fix the car, so I will have to use the money I was saving for the valves and headgasket.
