Skunk 2 High Compression Valves; Worth It?
I am looking into buying a set of valves for my B16 because the timing belt broke and bent a few valves. I am considering the skunk 2 high compression valves to go with my skunk stage 2 cams but dont know if they are worth it and what kind of gains i get. plus i do not know the driveability with those valves in. so if anyone has those or something similar or has some suggestions, any would help thanks!!!
The gain in compression with those is miniscule. Those would be for someone building a high compression engine who is trying to bump the compression in every aspect possible. Not worth it IMO for your setup.

i have the high compression valves and the drivability is just like stock. i'm using the stage ones with a mugen head gasket and they work great. i don't know if there is a power difference haven't had my car dynoed
About how much more compression would you gain if say you started with 10.6:1.? Are there other manufacturers that make higher compression valves than skunk2's?

just go with the lighter dished valves and make up the compression somewhere else...>IMO<

From what I hear, Skunk2 valves become warped after while. Why don't you go to one of the sponsors and pick up some SuperTech or REV valves? I hear nothing but good things from those two companys. Besides they are probably cheaper than Skunk2 anyway.
