Does the G3 glove box light up when opened (while headlights are on) ?

I noticed that the cig. tray does.. but wasn't sure if my gb was gimped (it looked like there was space for such a contraption)

 

No it doesn't.

Integras lack a lot of lighting inside the cabin.

yes they do light up but only when your parking or headlights are on.

 

Yep...there is a light on mine. I'm not sure if it is on all G3's. But it comes on with the parking lights or head lights.

 

look inside the outer lip of the dash when you open the glove box, on the right hand side should be a spring loaded switch, if your car diesnt have this then it doesnt have a light, if it does and you have no light then the bulb is most likely blown. Theres one on my jdm G3 integra

 

My bad, I'll have to test it out again at night. Never saw a light before.

 

yes it does light up when your lights are turned on and you open it. mine has a problem where it opens slightly, so the light turns on and off when i go over bumps and stuff... I think I read a fix about someone putting an eraserhead somewhere so the little switch is longer, i dunno... gotta look into that sometime.

 

Hmm.. I'll check tomorrow.. but from the sounds of it it may be a feature only available on higher models, similar to the map lights..

 

My GS-R has a glovebox light.

My base model Camry did not have one, and I got one from a junkyard to add, but never did find the harness where it plugged in.

 

My glove box is fucked and it kinda stayes open one one side....Light's always on.....****** hella anoying...I gotta pull that light out....

 

Mine has a light... and I agree, G3's need more lighting inside. It's amazing what a set of those little crystal white bulbs will do. Sounds ricey, but you'd be amaed how much better it lights up the car. The difference between my map lights and true daylight is nominal.

 

mine used to do the exact same thing! then the other day I noticed the 2 screws that hold the glovebox latch onto the door were really loose, and allowed the door to come open just slightly. I tightened those up and all is well.
