see hoe the externalk wastegate is run. off teh stock wastegate opening. will it work like this and if so is it a good idea Thanks

I ran my car like that for over a year with no problems. I'm not sure how it affects performance, though.

so you just have teh exhaust flange an d run teh downpipe and instead of having flange on manifold youjust run it up to teh wastgate?

Its not really "on the downpipe". It is on the wastegate port of that turbo. Some turbos have it and some don't. I had a tubular manifold with no wastegate flange on it so it was my only choice.

i just never thought of that before. so i just need to get a block off flange and cut a hole in it to weld the pipe to? any length fo rthe pipe or not really?
