Thoughts or Suggestions on Path to Take
Allright, with income being a little on the low side, im finding myself with plenty of time to think of diffrent paths to take on building my car. I'm driving a 00' civic si, so i already have a b16. I have the basics, intake and exhaust, minus header. Now im starting to think of what to do at this point. I like the b16 so im staying with it. Forced induction is the next step im thinking about taking, this is the reason i have opted not to get a header, seeing i wouldnt have a use for it in the future. Now i am concerned on what exactly the stock internals can handle, so part of me is wanting to build the bottom end first(sleeved, rods, pistons, and so on.) Eventually i do plan on doing both of these things, but im not sure which i should do first. In order to turn up the boost i will have to build the bottom end anyway, but running low boost at first in order to get a quicker gain is tempting. All the research i have done tells me that the stock honda motors are fairly stout, within reason of course, but i guess it is just in my nature to worry. Sorry about this rant. I know im new to the board, but i figured yall could help seeing alot of yall have much more experience than i do. Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.
I would build up the motor before going the FI route-Build the top end first with some upgraded valves-springs-cams-and such-then the bottom end-and finally FI-that is just my opinion though-good luck
seems like you need the help of our friends in the FI section of this forum..i think you'll get a much better response there IMO...
im a n/a fanatic so i dunt know **** about fi...
