Default t3 vs t3/t4 spoolup

How much faster will a straight t3 spool up vs a t3/t4? Neither are ball bearing?

basically the same?? uhhhhhh not really

It really depends on the engine displacement, the A/r of the compressor, the size of the compressor, the a/r of the exhaust housing, and the size of the turbine.

all those factors will affect spool. and the only real way to tell the difference is to try both out on YOUR setup.

because there are so many different trim levels it's hard to tell.

Hybrids like the t3/t4 it will spool similar to a T3, but it has more lag due to the more mass of the larget T4 wheel.

Don't forget compression. A t3/t4 for a D15? A large T3 would be good enough there. Unless he's planning to run some high boost..

im looking for something that will bolt right up to my t3 flange. Probably the smallest i can get that will fit it. Does anything besides t3 fit that flange? Any recomendations? I plan to run no more than 12 psi.

Sorry I'm confused he wants something smaller than a T3 that came with the kit or smaller than a T3/T4? What exactly does he want for boost and how much power does he want it to make?

Ok.....The drag kit came with a t3/t4. It doesnt hit full boost untill like 4,800 rpm. Im not boosting over 12 psi ever so i dont need a turbo that big. I want something smaller. Something that will hit full boost below 3,500 rpm. Will a Small T3 do this, or do i need to go smaller than a T3? It a single came motor.
