t3 .60 ar comp .63 ar turbine VS. t3 60-1 .63 ar turbine @10-11psi???
Right now i have a t3 off a 5 speed T-bird that im using on my b16a, but have a friend selling a t3 60-1 for a good price, i only plan on running 10-12 psi max, would it be better to sell the t3 i have now and upgrade to the 60-1? I know it has more potential but im wondering if it would be effiecent in the 10-12 psi range...

The 60-1's arent efficient till around 12~15psi depending on what displacement engine you are running. I'd go with a smaller t3/t4 before I would use a 60-1.

also... the t3 60-1 uses a T04S compressor housing. not a t3 compressor so a t3/60-1 w/ a .63 a/r turbine housing would outflow the t3 .60/.63. Here are some specs i saw on cheapturbo.com for a t3/60-1
COMPRESSOR SPECS:
T04S housing
.70 A/R housing
60 TRIM wheel
TURBINE SPECS:
T3
.63 A/R housing
HIGH FLOW 76 TRIM stg 3 wheel
a turbo like that you probably wouldn't need for what you want. A t3/t04e would be fine.

but a 60-1 will most definately make more power than that t bird turbo..granted it wont spool up as quick and wont be in its PRIME efficiency range it still smokes that t bird turbo.

I personally like my t-bird T3. It hits 10psi by 4k on my B16a, and power doesnt drop off before redline. Im hesitant to upgrade to a larger compressor housing, because my car is a daily driver and i like the lower rpm power...
