Default Kenji? Changed my mind. May need you help?

Fastest and easiest way to wire up 2001' GSR into 94' Ex coupe. Car is sohc vtec, so I am thinking that I can use the ex motor harness with an obd-1 gsr ecu. Is this true, or do I need to get something from you????

why..?

I'm pretty sure that's only needed when converting from OBD0 - OBD1. I'm converted OBD2-OBD1 right now, and I didn't swap the distributor.... there's nothing wrong with it.

^ agreed, I too have converted OBD 2 -> OBD 1 without changing the dizzy. You'll just need to change the plugs so the harness will click into place. (Swap the OBD 2 plug off of the GSR motor harness onto the Civic SOHC VTEC motor harness).

I too am also pretty sure the Dist. does not need to be changed, but, can you go on a bit about the plug swap. What ecu, obd-1 gsr or chipped ex?? Or something else? Thanks guys

If you get a complete OBDII swap with the motor harness (USDM) the full OBDII setup will drop in and plug into your cabin harnesses. All you need is an OBDI P72 ECU and a little wiring and you're done! I have a 92 VX with a 99 B18C1 - it's completely OBDII including the harness running off an OBDI P72.

aww ****, he's right. The OBD II Integra harness will plug up to your civic just fine. With the exception that you should have (1) 3 wire plug left over at the right shock tower. It has your EVAP purge wire and CKF sensor wires (which you wont use CKF with an OBD I ECU). Just move that wire at pin A20 -> A17 and then take the EVAP wire on the right shock tower and run it to A20. dont forget about the knock sensor wire.

does anyone know where there is a complete wiring diagram for obd-2 gsr to obd-1 civic. Or, are the pins the same on the obd-2 gsr computer for vtec/secondaries and knock

fastest and easiest way would be to get a chipped P28 ecu and a single runner IM so that you dont have to worry bout any wiring.

yeah I'd get rid of the GSR IM..

but if you want to wire up the butterflies, it's not going to be hard. Don't be afraid of electrical stuff.
