yea...that motor (b16) is OBD 2 and your car is OBD 1. You'll need a conversion harness i think.

What engine harness do you have?

Dont use the p2t ECU. Get a OBD1 P30 Ecu. There really isnt an easy way to use an OBD2 ECU in an OBD1 car, and no reason to do so either. Depending on the engine harness you have the P30 ECU should start it right up.

A P30 can be found from a 1992-1995 Honda del Sol DOHC VTEC EG/SiR. If yo ucan get an engine harness from this setup then it will be plug in and go with the ECU. Just as long as everything else is hooked up correctly.

That harness will work fine and should plug in on all the sensors except the dizzy (get an OBD1 dizzy), the IAT (again need an OBD1), the alt (need obd1 or mod the harness), and the injectors (need OBD1 or mod the harness or injectors them selfs). Stay OBD1 tho and get either a chipped P28 or a stock P30 ecu.

Yeah, just make sure you have all the sensors obd1, my intake are temperature sensor was just dangling on mine when I did my obd2 b16 in my car, but now I have actually ran the obd2 IAT sensor and everything... but it's a very easy swap, make sure you have an obd1 alternator, distributor, injectors and such, or as someone else has stated that you could mod your harness to fit what you have.. you can either use the stock intake mani on the motor or buy an intake manifold from a b16a3 and use it so that you can have the intake air temperature sensor on the manifold, that's really your choice.

U can use the OBD1 alt off of any OBD1 honda however and when running an OBD1 ecu u really do need to use an OBD1 IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor in the intake manifold. The B16A2 IM has the IAT sensor port cast into it but u have to drill it out and tap for the bolt holes.

If you have a non vtec car, you will have to run the wires for the vtec solenoid on the b16 motor. Just use your stock harness you have and add this wire last. you can google for a write up on how to do it. Then use an OBD1 ECU. I used a P72 ECU on mine because i ran with GSR cams as well on an otherwise stock motor.

I think that the skunk2 has a spot for the IAT, Im almost 100 percent sure that it does,

it will be easier to use obd1 injectors. then the only semi-major thing you will only need to change the alternator and dizzy.

The B16A2 injectors will work but u have to grind or cut some plastic tabs on the connector of the injector for the OBD1 plugs to plug in. Ur stock injectors and the B16 both use 240cc injectors so either way u want to do it, the benen fuel rail is fine too.

yea...that motor (b16) is OBD 2 and your car is OBD 1. You'll need a conversion harness i think.
no conversion harness is needed. just shave the clips on your OBD2 injectors and they should work.. I did it a few times before.

Just as long as everything else is hooked up correctly.
it is best to just run a stock B16 USDM P30 but good luck finding one. average price is $150+

you can also modify your stock D16Z6 engine harness by stretching a few and adding the knock sensor unless you run a chipped P28 u don't have to worry about knock sensor.. sell it off your motor and buy a chipped ecu OBD1

Sweet! So everything should just plug right in? Can i put obd1 parts on that motor?
yes you can use OBD1 parts but you really only need the distributor unless you buy a conversion harness or rewire the dizzy yourself.

you can use OBD0 or OBD1 alternator, same s#it

and like i said shave your injector so they will work with your current civic engine harness(very easy to do)

U can use OBD1 B16, B18C parts
Sweet thanks! So would a stock p28 work untill i get it tuned?
you can use it for a minute but it'll lean your motor out, not enough fuel

The B16A2 injectors will work but u have to grind or cut some plastic tabs on the connector of the injector for the OBD1 plugs to plug in. Ur stock injectors and the B16 both use 240cc injectors so either way u want to do it, the benen fuel rail is fine too.
you can run a gsr ecu and it'll be fine.. but if you going to change the cams out or whatever might as well get a chipped ecu while you at it.. they go for like $100-$200 tops
