for ems::: professional dyno tune?, OR, self tune and a wideband 02?
im finishing my turbo setup and i would like you opinions....
1. have a pro set it up and dyno it
2. get a wideband and try it myself, i dont have exp. tuning yet

I thought about the wide band thing too, but it would be very difficult to get on a road (unless you live out in the boonies) and tune your car for ever position on the fuel and timing map. I think a professional dyno tune is the way to go for then initial job, the use a wideband for fine adjustments..

If you don't have any experience tuning then it might be best to get it tuned by a professoional, unless you are willing to put the time and money to tune it yourself.

don't try it yourself if you have not done it before.professional dyno tuning is probably the single most important thing you will ever spend your money on.i should know,i blew 3 engines before i figured this out.it is worth every penny!go to the dyno and let someone with lots of experience tune it with a wideband o2.if you have to drive well out of your way to get somebody good it will be worth it,trust me!

Not only did i hear its hard but ive experienced it. Definately go to a dyno. Streetability is hard to get with the EMS. It can be done though

get a max power baseline off the dyno.
then get a wideband to tune all the other cells needed for the street.
i am doing the street thing 1st. then doing the dyno pull more just to see where I ended up. you can easily do dyno pulls on the freeway with a wideband in car and datalogging.
obey all traffic laws
