Do any of y'all have information about the turbo setup on that Escort Cosworth? The official website doesn't have any in-depth info on it. I know the Escort Cosworth actually comes "stock" with a T25, but (obviously) there was a slightly larger turbo on this particular example. How much boost was he running? I'm also curious about the BOV. Opinions on what it was?

Anyone who hasn't seen this... Get it!!! You won't regret it.

 

not sure on the turbo or anything of the setup..bvut they are nice cars... I think they only produced about 500 of them..all wheel drive...nice cars.

I was told that the cosworth had a dump valve as apposed to a BOV. Not sure if it's true or not but came from a somewhat reliable source and would explain the sweet sweet sound.

What the heck is a dump valve??? T'was a sweet sound....

 

To my understanding it's the same as a blowoff valve but instead of the air squeezing through a tiny hole slowly making a wish... sound, it's just opens a big valve and dumps all the air quickly more of a woosh sound. Dunno for sure though.. that sound page with all the bov sound files has a dump valve on it. I forget the URL though.

 

A dump valve is a swedish word for bov.
