Ball Joints
My front right upper ball joint is shot. Is the ball joint welded into the upper control arm. (not sure if that is what it is called?) Or is it just pressed in. Also does anyone know a good place to get this part?
Thanks!

what year is the car? If it's older I'm pretty sure it's like teh accord were you have to buy the whole arm. I have a 2000 prelude and haven't really looked at it to see what it needs.
I'm 99.953% sure you don't have to replace the whole upper arm since you can buy adjustable ball joints and i think buddy said he thinks that is because i think from honda, u can't buy just the ball joint...they sell it with a whole new arm connected...so it's expensive too...better off getting the adjustable ones from SPC alignment products...camber and caster adjustable

That's what you want...i'm gonna get those eventually, just bought too much crap for my car recently...going broke...i will need new ball joints soon so i'm gonna go with these, but they're not cheap, but about the same or maybe cheaper then getting them from honda!

They're pressed. Just get a short pipe bigger than the top of the ball joint and set the control arm top side down onto it. Then get a pipe that goes over the threades and sits firmly on the ball joint. Then beat the hell out of it. They come out fairly easy this way.
Also, check out northstarmfg.com. They have ball joints that can adjust your camber.

I have looked at the adjustable ball joints but I think I want to stick with the stock type. Does anyone know any place that sells these without the whole arm? Because Honda wants $180 each for them and I haven't found any other places that carry them.
Thanks

I highly doubt you will find any ball joints other then maybe a used one at a wrecker...which you don't want...these spc ball joints are cheaper...high quality and they are adjustable...what more do you want???
