anyone ever have buyers remorse?
Sigh...
I just got off the phone with darton, I ordered my sleeves today, this was my Xmas present. I am very excited, but at the same time my pockets are hurting LOL.
I went with the 83mm Bore, i wanted the 84mm, but the 83 just offered me more peace of mind. hope i made the right choice.
just wanted to vent, and looking for some FI love......(this has been the hardest holiday season yet)

I know exactly what you mean, it's happend a few times to me.
Once when i first went turbo when i bought the turbo
then again when i bought the new engine
and then once again recently when i just purchased a new turbo (still feel uneasy about it) only because i have not boosted yet so i think once i do, all my uneasy feelings will go away, and the fact that my car runs like never before it will be ok....

You are posting in the FI forum. I think we have all had remorse at sometime. I sure have but then I hop in my car and then I seem to forget about it
yea, i guess you guys are right. I think its just because ive spent the money, but i dont have anything tangible in my hands yet, it hasnt been shipped yet......im sure when im out pushing 15lbs daily ill be a happy camper!
imo, never regret buying something. reason i say this is because unless you can get a refund you are basically stuck w/ the item that you bought. even if you can sell it to someone, you end up losing some money. you are still doing something that you love and have a passion for so, don't sweat it, like someone earlier said, just keep at it and you'll be happy in the end when you realize how much you learned and how far you got from where you started from. in my case, i constantly debate whether i should keep pouring money onto my engine but only time will tell. i'm pretty sure i'll never stop even if i do regret pouring money into my car because it seems like i'm wasting money but, it's something i enjoy doing and one of the few things in life that keeps me sane from all the little things in life.
Remorse because you spent the money, or because you got the 83's and not the 84's? If its because of spending money, plan to be remorsing a lot more in the near future. If its cause the 83's just call and change your order before they ship...it's the same price. I've said it before, I don't see any reason not to start with 84.5's
I have the ultimate in remorse. I bought an auto LS. At that point in time I thought an automatic tranny was like a manual except it shifted automatically. I basically thought it was something like BMW's SMG. I always regret buying an auto, sometimes I regret buying a teg (If memory serves correct, even though I have a hard time believing it, Supras were going for comparable prices then), and I'll kick myself for not getting a GSR (until I think about the insurance). It worked out though, I got a car that's easy to work on and everything I've done to this car was my first crack at doing anything on a car.
Oh how far I've come, I went to school to learn about cars, by some miracle got myself 3 ASE certifications (this all in about 16 months). I just finished upgrading my fuel system and I'm dropping in my turbo by the end of this vacation. Nobody touches my car except me and the body shop.
In the end of it all ... it's still an automatic
...but it's changed my entire life...
...and then I found HT...
...then the darkside raped my wallet...

I've been buying for a few months now since a fellow member convinced me to turbo my car. I almost have everything and I still wont see my car for 4 months. I hate the fact that I've spent thousands of dollars and don't get to see any of the parts for 4 more months.
