680cc + ems + Low Boost?!!?!
for my turbo setup.
i am running the ems and a .45 spring i have a 255lph pump and an aem fpr, and i also have 680CC injectors
... instead of going to my tuner that wasnt gonna use a wideband, im gonna buy a wideband for the same price... and then tune it myself, and use the autotune...
*MY QUESTION*
can i use the ems to lean out those big injectors on my low boost and dyno-less tune, only using wideband.... if i couldnt lean them out enough, would it help to get a boost controller and move up to 10psi (.68bar)or would i be better off keeping the stock injectors and turn up the fuel pressure from the fpr?? wat should i do here.....

I am limited with personal knowledge and use on the ems, but i'm pretty sure you can select a "base map" for the 680cc injectors to get it to idle. Then if you auto tune it, it should fix everything for you.
I'm not sure that answers your question but maybe someone else does? TTT

by "the ems" i'm assuming the AEM EMS. You should easily be able to get the car to idle with the 680cc injectors. After you get the idle a/f ratio close this is what I did. By default the ems won't autotune under 5% throttle. At idle with the wideband hooked up i changed my tps voltage settings to make the ems think the throttle was open more than 5% and then turned on automapping. Let it map the idle for a little bit and then change the voltages for the tps back to the original values.
I was running 700cc injectors on my B18C naturally aspirated with the AEM EMS. Same fuel pump as you, stock regulator. I also had a 5 bar MAP sensor. It ran very nicely. I never got a chance to boost it before my car got stolen.
Raising your max boost is not going to do anything for you. Idle and low load conditions have nothing to do with the maximum amount of boost your wastegate (or boost controller) is set for. You should be fine with your set-up. A wideband is definitely worth the investment.
