Default Rumour or Reality/ Need help

Okay, rumour has it that on OBDII Honda cars that the ECU will reset itself after every modification. This is after you have reset the computer. Basically meaning that even after mods the ECU cancels out any gains you have gotten from the modification unless you reset the ECU weekly. Rumour or reality?

Also on OBDII cars when it comes to nitrous. There is no way to retard the timing to help with fighting detonation. So how are you folks doing it? Now keep in mind I am only looking to do a 75shot. How would I go about retarding the timing? I know if I switch to OBDI ECU, Wiring Harness, and Distributor I can retard the timing via the distributor. But on OBDII I don't have that convenience.

So far I have added I/E, Clutchnet Stage3 clutch, and springs. I have a Venom 1000 system sitting at my friends shop that I am contemplating putting in. I am also looking to add header, high flow cat, and cams(either stage 1 or 2).

How realistic is it to get close to mid 200 fwhp with these mods and yes this includes the 75 shot?

ODBII does detune your car over time. Just reset your ECU every so often, you'll get your gains back I usually pull my clock/radio 7.5A fuse once a week on my 01 SH and I notice the difference right away

as for nitrous, i used an MSD ignition system with a 3 step timing retard, and the timing retard engaged whenever the nitrous sprayed.

just an fyi, to reset the computer you need only pull the fuse for 10 seconds.. not a couple minutes as most ppl believe. Infact, my CEL comes on because of my secondary 02 is messed up.. and i'm thinking of installing a momentary switch by my sunroof controls, so when it does come on, i just push and hold the button for 10 seconds and it's cleared
