ECU???????

Default ECU???????

Dose anyone know why on the side of my ECU there is a long black screw? A freind said that i could advance nad retard my spark with this. he said turn to left advace and turn right retard. if i play with this will i **** up my ignition and is there any advantge to tune with this?

any info will help!

And what kind of car is this??? I've never seen or heard of that before on a Honda but then again maybe I've always missed something.... You sure he isn't talking about rotating the distributor to advance or retard.... Peace

What ECU are we talking about?

Normally you advance and retard ignition timing by rotating the distributor.

Okay this is a bunch of **** then... Who is this friend?? Does he seriously think he knows what he is talking about??? If you wanna advance or retard your timing, rotate the distributor counter clockwise when standing on the passenger side of car and looking at the distributor to advance... and the opposite to retard...

Yea all you have to do is loosten the bolts up a bit... With a SOHC you probably won't notice to much of a difference if you advance but you'll be able to feel retard.. It is best to use a timing gun but with that motor i don't think it matters... Just advance till it begins to ping if it does then retard it a bit from that... Good Luck
