Default Turbos and Automatic transmissions

Yea I know what your thinking but i wanna keep my auto, i wanna know what parts i am going to need to replace / beef up, for my tranny to hold some good boost. Please no "manual swap" crap, i just wanna keep my tranny and beef it up, i heard going to Aamco and asking them was the best idea, but i was wondering if anyone knew anything else.

what kind of boost are you going to be running? My friend has a 92 4dr auto with a d16Y8 running 7 psi and it has no problems.(tranny wise that is!)

"you're only limited to what you have" popular quote.

if that's a method you would like to do, the gearbox needs to be customized. that's why they say to take it to AAMCO.

there's TCI's new product, the torque converter they unveiled at SEMA and also Level 10 Performance(www.levelten.com) will know exactly what you're looking for...

zex has a new one now too...

in order for your tranny to truly be built up you have to upgrade everything because it'll only be as strong as its weakest link...so if you just upgraded the torque converter you wouldn't neccesarily make it stronger. Basics would be just a torque converter and tranny cooler...other than that I'd suggest maybe checking out level ten's full automatic race trannies. They're supposedly able to hold three times the power of a stock tranny.
