Not necessary. And the tranny mount is a pain to get to, you might have to unbolt it to get the inserts in and then retighten the bolts to spec.

Ratchet, couple feet of extensions, swivel socket are pretty much it.

damn i dont know how you guys did it! i had the manifold off and i still couldnt take it out. i had to unbolt the climate control valve and unbolt the back engine brace!@! and now my climate control is fuxed@@@@!@!

yea fronts were easy the rear was alot of swearing and many many many extions and swivels and still fought with it .
The rear one is the spawn of Satan. When I did mine, I ended up unbolting most of the engine and raising/lowering it a few inches. And just when you think you're finished by getting it out ... HA! Getting it back in with the added size from the inserts is worse!
Yes, basic hand tools are all that it calls for.
