slotted are cool... a lot of of the Le Mans cars have slotted rotors to reduce heat and weight... don't know about cross-drilled... i heard they crack a lot... brembo's are great with some semi-racing pads... just my 2 cents
Slotted rotors help with the gas that builds up from using endurance-racing pads. For street oriented pads there's just not enough gas released during braking for the slots to be of any use. There's nothing really *wrong* with them, just that a $20 plain rotor will be just as good as a $70 slotted one.

yea I do mostly freeway driving to school and back everyday but if I do get a chance to have some fun with my car I mainly do canyon driving so would the slotted help with quick hard braking over and over for long periods of time??
everyone always says they need new rotors when theirs warp....can't you just have them resurfaced? I wlaways do that, no need to replace them.
when my stock rotors warped I had them cut (made them thinner) I forget I think it was like $40 only to have them warp again
I always used a torque wrench to tighten my lugs, no "mechanic" went crazy w/ the impact wrench on my lugs, didn't wash the car after driving, etc.. they still warped so I replaced the stockers instead of shaving them... just went w/ Brembo blanks/solids and my pads needed replacement also so I went w/ Hawk HPs I'm very happy w/ this setup..they dust quite a bit but they bite really well...
not personal experience.. but from friends car.. the X-drilled power slot (or power stop) warped on my friends car...

I'd suggest Brembo blanks, with out the slots or crossdrilling and a set Axxis Ultimates for the street.

groupbuycenter.com has brembo blanks for for 30 bucks a front rotor shipped, and 26 for rear rotors shipped. So 112 bucks for all 4 rotors. not bad man. slotting also shaves down your brake pads

oh yeah, you dont want 'light' brake rotors. Brakes work by disipating heat, if the rotors have less mass, they cannot take as much heat until they start to fade. Lemans cars on the other hand run 13-15" ceramic brakes, and they can afford to eat through pads/rotors all they want.
for a street car, solid rotors is all you will ever need and is probably best in terms of price/performance/length of use

thanx for all the help guys and next time I will try to make use of that search button, it should be like 36 font and neon green for newbies.
