Default OBD-II tuning?

i was at erick's racing website and they have 96-98 P73 ECU tuning I thought this wasnt possible since it was OBD-II. I really dont want to spend the money on Hondata if I can get my OBD-II reprogrammed.

It is indeed possible to have your ECU tuned. It is also my understanding that even 00+ ECU's can be tuned, although the technology (hardware and software) necessary to do so is currently available almost exclusively on the other side of the pond. Whether this is more cost effective to you than tuning with a piggy-back device or, more extremely, with a stand-alone computer is something you need to decide. Keep in mind that it will likely be prohibitively expensive to make minor adjustments or more extreme changes in the future without the aid of some additional form of tuning device. It all comes down to budget, planned mods, availability of an experienced tuner, and lastly, personal preference.

its possible, however, the fuel/ignition map and data are stored on the cpu which can only write once. and one cpu cost u 100-150.
