Default switch amp power without headunit

Hi, I've hooked up my Nomad Jukebox directly to my crossover, totally bypassing my headunit. Of course the problem is the amps and crossover only switch on with a signal from the headunit. I want to set up a switch to switch the power on manually, but that is a very low current circuit, right? What (always on) power line can I tap to switch the turn-on leads?

Thanks

You can grab power for it at any power source including the factory wire for the HU, just put a small fuse on the wire (5 amp). I have also seen a switch for purposes like what you are doing that you tie into power and the signal to the amp, and when it senses current on the low level inputs to the amp, it will switch on and give turn on hte amp. I'll try to locate some info for you. I forget who makes it.

Thanks for the reply. I guess to be ultra safe I'd put a 5A fuse by each component? That's overkill, I'll just put a single 5A fuse where the turn-on leads meet.
PS a power wire in the trunk would be easiest. Can I just tap into my Amp line as long as I put a 5A fuse near the components?
Thanks again.

YEs, tapping into the amp wire will work, just be sure to fuse it at he amp turn on wire. This is kind of what I was talking about here, but this one is for speaker output, you need one that will work with low level outputs, I'm having trouble finding them:

Cool. I get the idea. I'm sure a local audio store by me should have low-level auto turn on switch.
Thanks
