Default A few questions about brakes .....

I just got a wilwood kit for my front brakes. Now I have a few questions.

1. Do I need a bigger master cylnder / booster ? (teg rs)
2. How is having rear drums going to effect the bias ?

If it won't be a problem I will be completely rebuilding the rear drums. I have a hook up so it will only be 100 with labor for all new parts.

and one more question. What do you think is the highest spring rate to run on the streets. I currently have 400 fronts and 600 rears. This was a drag set up. Should I switch the springs around ? or just run it the way it is.

Mad front wheel drive drift !!

lol,
there is so much talk around the bord of these topics.... read up you'll find answers.
I swapped in ITR front calipers and have not swapped out the MC or booster, and I tend to lock up the rears first (drums still). This is because the rears fill up with fluid first, because they have smaller areas to fill so they will lock first... not good. So, you may want to look into swapping the proportioning valve. The MC only reduces pedal travel per brake pressure.

wilwoods..........

and about spring rates on the street... it depends on your personal preference unless you are asking about what will kill your shocks, which has nothing to do with street driving but spring rates alone. For me, I am happy with up to 800# spring rates on a gutted hatch all day long, but my passengers and friends may think that is a bit too harsh. Plus your Seat choice (aftermarket), tire pressures, tire choice and suspension bushing materials are all important in what is ultimately the setup you choose.

Thanks for the info, I think I'm going to install as is. I don't mind a harsh ride. This is only my daily driver during the summer months and I don't really care if I bounce around a little. I have the Srr S1 spec coils, my spring rates won't kill the shocks will they ?
