Is it true you can't drive your CX engine to 5th gear on Surface streets? (non-freeway)

Is this true of the CX, should not go to 5th gear because it can hurt the engine? i always go to 5th gear at about 40 mph

keep it in whatever gear you want, just make sure it's not bogging down the engine.

no, man its that your never supposed to use first or second. those are just dummy gears. youre supposed to only use 3rd, 4th and 5th.

LOL, where on Earth do you people come up with these silly questions?

I have driven my CX so hard I am shocked it is still running, and it has seen redline in 5th gear too, although I forget how slow the MPH was...

actully wouldn't the redline in the CX be like 160mph since the gears are so damn long?

I remember doing 110 in 3rd gear with my old dx engine

ive never driven a cx...

they dont rattle when starting from 3rd gear?

i run 75 in 3rd i topped last time at 120 in 5th w 148,000
