Default Turbocharger and Intercooler Questions

I was planning to run T3 Super60 on my Type R. I want to rev it to 8500 and making power on top would be nice too. I plan to run it 4.35-5psi boost on stock internals...

My setup:

- Stock Motor
- InlinePro T3 Manifold
- 63.5mm Exhaust
- 370cc Injectors
- Hondata with Boost option
- HKS SS BOV
- Tial 35mm Wastegate (4.35psi Spring)
- Electronic Boost Controller (undecided on the brand)
- Hondata w/ Boost
- 8.5 lb Flywheel

My Questions:

1. What T3/T4E turbo would be similar to T3 Super 60. Or other turbo sufficient for my boost/revs level
2. Greddy offer 3 models of intercooler kits, which one to get? would it hurt to get the largest intercooler?

Thanks

... i think either the t3 super 60 or t3/t4b (not t3/t4e) would work well for your goals... but the t3/t4 family of turbos would give you more room to grow if you decided to up the boost later on down the road (and you probably will wanna up the boost cuz everyone does)...

370 cc's are going to be too small IMO... consider 440s
and reconsider boosting the ITR motor... SCRALIDGE!

yeah, it would hurt if u get the larger IC...it would hurt your wallet that is
why not just go custom? even if u get a DRAG or REVHARD piping kit for around $400 (which is a rip off anyways) or get custom piping for $100, u can just get a spearco or PWR IC for $300-400 shipped. all which costs a lot less than the larger greddy kit.

im not 100% sure about the performance of getting such a HUGE IC..but for such a small boost set up, i dont see any reason to get such a huge IC.. the smaller PWR IC's (20x3x8 core) are good up to 300whp says EARL...who i bought mine off from this board..talk to him.

but if u MUST have Greddy, then i am not 100% sure about how a HUGE IC's performance will be on such a small set up

too late.. i'm already running these on my car.. i think i should get away with 230-250whp .. if duty cycle turns out too much + too much fuel pressure, then i'll just have to swap them out for 440's

I considered greddy because of the price and quality - from what i read its on of the better one, it also comes with piping which i wouldn't mind. I guess I'll go for the smallest onr of the 3 they offer.

if T3/T4B - which trim/compressor a/r would work best?

The closest T3/T04E would be the .48 A/R Stage III & .60 A/R 57 Trim:

http://www.store.yahoo.com/sr20perfo...ettt3t04e.html

It will easily support 275-300 whp. It will have great spool and nice top end. You may want to stic with the Greddy Type 31 intercooler kit.

Thanks, so I'm decided on Intercooler, the smallest one, Type 31 then.

For compressor trim compression maps, my pressure ratio is between 1.3 and 1.4 and air flow goes from 7-22lbs/min - depending on conditions (rpm, temps..)

T04E 54 or 57 trim seemed to worked best, but how do i determine the rest of the turbo, such as A/R - is there a formula for that?

You guys will find this link handy. Put in some honest dyno-sheet numbers, and you can map out where your flow/pressure is going to go, and you can cycle through all of the different compressors that are available.
