Garret T3 a/r 48 on z6 minime ?
I have this Garret turbo laying around. It says its a/r 48, which seams pretty small. Im not sure if its a T3/T4 ( how do I tell if its a hybrid ?). Would this size turbo work relatively good on a d16a6 block with a d16z6 head ? I will be running a somewhat getto fuel setup. Eclipse injectors, B&M fpr, Apex Vfac rigged to the map sensor. For the intercooler, Im gonna use this old starion intercooler I have. I need some insight on this.. thanks in advance..

Re: Garret T3 a/r 48 on z6 minime ? (enabi)
do it......the t3 super 60 will spool up boost fully at 2500 rpms.....its a smaller turbo but you can run more boost with it, if properly tuned, i run a t3 super 60-1 and it spools quicker than a t3t4, which i also have, in lower boost applications, it will make more power than a t3t4, but obvioulsy a t3t4 will make more power at higher boost being more efficent. if u want over 300 whp, then go with a bigger unit, but if ur planning for less, then run the t3

Take the compressor housing off and measure the diameter of the outer portion of the compressor wheel as well as the inner portion. You can determine what trim wheel you have and find out of it is a straight T3 or a T3/T4. It's probably a straight T3 if it came off of another car.
