Just curious if there's anyway to tell if my cluster is original...

So before I rip it out, is there a VIN# or some way to tell if it's OE?

My EG, DC, and EK cluster never had em on there.

 

I believe that they have some sort of serial code on them.

So there's no way to tell if this is the original cluster with the original miles on it?

I'm assuming it is but I'm paranoid.

 

If u are trying to swap clusters with one that has a lower milage reading in it, then u might get urself in trouble. dmv keeps a records of ur milage everytime u do a smog check. so say ur original milage is 200+ and u wanna put a cluster that is in its low 100's, then there will be a milage discrepancy on record. anyone else have any input on this?

For my EX/Si Cluster I keep a word document that has the mileage on the body and the cluster so when time comes around to renew the registration I have the right mileage (we dont have smog checks here in central pa)

 

Why would you take it out? Its an Si so you already have a nice cluster.....Are you selling it?
