03 guage cluster in an 01 civic lx

I want to install a 03 cluster in the vehicle purely for aesthetics, my question is, is the mileage stored on the cluster itself? and can i even put an 03+ cluster in the vehicle?

Mileage would be what is stored on that cluster from the vehicle it was removed. So if your car has say 100K miles and that cluster has 120K miles than it will show 120K miles not miles of your vehicle. I hope this help
