ottle jacks ~ driven by pressure its like a pump you have to pump it up, can hold more weight and alittle safter

jack stand is just a stand hard to explain

Do you need pictures?

ok, got a quick question.

I went out to my car yesterday to inspect the front suspension and couldn't get the floor jack under it. It's dropped on pro-kits so it's not like I'm slammed or anything, although the front tire is about half flat from the curb. What type of jacks do you guys use? Just wondering cause if you guys use floor jacks then it's probably just the fact that my front tire is about half flat. Thanks.

You can get a flat jack used for sports cars.

Nothing fits under my car. I drive up onto 2x4s and then onto bricks just to get the jack underneath. Then I put it on jackstands, but before I do that I like to drop the car off of the jack and send my radiator flying up through my hood. Well that's what happened last time anyway...

i used to do that till i just realized that if you dont have a body kit it is easier to take a jack and jack up the middle where your tow hook is on the back and lift the car that way, it lift the back higher but also pics the front up, it pics it up for me just enough to fit a second jack in the front where the factory jack points are.. just my .02 thought it could help

If you can still fit the factory cheesy jack under the car, then jack up at the lift point near the front of the driver's door, then you can fit the real jack under the tow hook in the center of the car and jack the car up normally, then before you lower the car remove the factory jack, (in case it moves and might miss the reinforced jack point) lower the car, then use the jack again to raise it enough to get the jack out. Sounds complicate but it's really not.

thats so ridiculous... so what happens when u get a flat tire? SLAM then goes the whole car leaning on that one side and u can never jack that thing up...let along not being able to do it anyways..thats horrible

Mine leaks, but unless I rebuild the seals it will just keep leaking. It works fine now, but when it stops working, I will throw it in the trash and buy another.

Getting under a car that is up on jacks is a big no no. jacks have been known to collapse, especially those $30 ones (no hate, thats what I'm using) Always use a set of jack stands It doesn't take that much longer either, maybe 2 mins max
