jdm SiR cluster
people with the jdm cluster. any of you able to hook up the fuel low indicator on the cluster. if so what is needed to make it work? part # (for the dealership) or where it's located (for the junkyard).
instructions for an EG...i'm assuming its just about the same for an EF...

I knew it might e a headache, so I ordered the UK VTi gauge cluster with a 9500 rpm tach and 155 mph speedo. It was a plug n play deal. No problems.
You coudn't get it to work, becausse the CRX fuel level sending unit does not have that feature. In fact, the US CRX is not even wired for that.
I could be wrong on the wiring thing though.
Get a sending unit from a 90-93 integra, it's a bolt on deal and you can wire the thing quite easily anyways.

There's another Vancouver-area guy with a Civic EF9 front-end conversion. He's wired it. I'll see if I can contact him to get the instructions. I will figure it out for myself once I have the time to do it.
okay here let me help you guys out a little!!! us usdm civics/crxs have the two plug fuel level indicator, all the tegs, accords, newer civics have the three plug, so all you will need is to find one of the acutal plug cut it off and leave extra wire so you can solder it to your old one. As for the wiring very simple it's only one wire to run from the new three wire plug all the way up to the cluster for the low fuel light. As for finding a proper fuel level indicator that has the low gas sensor that will read properly is just about impossible. As for the link above i've tried that and had no luck 3 times since the actual low gas sensor is so damn sensitive and broke all three times. I've tried an 89 accord one but their gastank is bigger and will only read half to empty properly and will never read all the way full but the light worked, Same with a 94+ teg. The 92-95 civics are missing the low gas light sensor but has the same range as our civics since our tanks are about the same size. Right now i'm using a 92-95 civic fuel level sensor and am trying to figure out the best way to get the low gas light sensor to stay on!! Marks way is pretty difficult since you have to use a super tiny drillbit and doesn't look stable!! But as for the 92-95 civic fuel sender it is off and you have to bend it to get it to read properly, I guess i just got lucky on my first try. Hope this will help a few people out!!

thanks chhuong. i have the 90 teg sender, sounds like i need to splice it into my stock wiring. is the current connector a 2 pin plug? and a three pin integra plug will take its place--the extra wire from the teg sender running up to the cluster? also, when you wired the actual cluster plugs up, how many wires were left over from the cluster, (that needed to be connected to the doors and hatch, if any)? thanks.
