Default MSD BTM w/Greddy blue box worth it?

Will I notice that much of a difference with the blue box and the BTM, or is this more for people who use SMC, etc. and need to significantly retard the timing? I will eventually get Hondata (maybe sooner than I thought if I can't get rid of this detonation), so would the BTM also be useful with Hondata?

I called MSD and they told me I wouldn't be able to adjust it less than 1 degree retard per pound of boost. Is this guy full of ****? I did a search and found some people claiming to set it at .25 degrees retard per pound of boost. Anyone know?

I used to have a btm and I could definitely run less than 1 full degree per psi. But honestly, just save more, skip the btm and blue box and do it right the first time with some sort of engine management.

If you turn the **** all the way down it it retard .25 deg per pound of boost. It still doesn't work real well. As " High mile" said, save your money and do it right the first time. " Do it right, or do it twice"
