does anyone knwo what the stock turbo is?

Mitsu Style Turbo, with a circular inlet flange, I belive the internal wastegate is set at 7psi.

I told him what the turbo was, model/flange and internal wastegate setting... Sorry but the 14b is Not even close to this turbo... Compresser is differnt, as well as the exhaust port config...

The newer ones with an IC has a wastegate set at 9psi.

Forgive my lack of knowlege on mitsu type turbo's, but if i were to order a flange to make a turbo manifold for, what type/part number flange would i need? 12a circular?

first off this turbo is to small for a H-series or even a bit undersized for a B-series.

The flange inlet is the same as DSM inlets.

one of my buddies had a conquest and ended up getting into a wreck. So his little brother has a crx with a ZC motor and is doing a DIY turbo kit, so he jumped at the opportunity of getting a free turbo and a couple other things.

 

seems to me if that small of a turbo can push a 2.6 liter,it should be able to push a zc.

 

its all about compression, and how much the head flows. look at the dsm crowd, how many of those guys have 60-1's? very few, look at honda-tech...a boatload of people have 60-1's on 1.8's...

Yep, Frank is right. Mitsu TD05-12a

Smaller than a 14b. Good for a Yugo, no idea why it was on the 2.0+L dodge.

The t-25 is small for a D16a6 and its bigger than it. The 14B is Ok for the D16a6. That thing on a ZC would be like choking your chicken...er I mean choking the engine. minimum for a ZC would be 14B, or t3 60 trim.

It all depends on what year StarQuest it's from. Pre 1986 models had much smaller non intercooled turbos. 1986-89 models came with a slightly different turbo which differed in size and trim. The wastegate is easily Adjustable and can take about 10 psi stock. The problem with these cars is that the ECU has a boost cut. This boost cut differed greatly throughout the 86-89 models. On the 87 it is a td05-12
