Civic as a winter car?
I've been tossing a couple different cars around as my next winter car. My camry has 206k on it and I dont think the trans is going to last much longer, so as soon as winter is over I'm going to try and sell it for a different car. I've been thinking along the lines of a DSM, a Subaru, or possibly a Civic. I was wondering if you know of any places where I can find stats or info on the stock cars, older EG's. Thanks.

If it is just a winter car, and its going to get beat on, neglected, etc. Just get the cheapest one. AWD would be nice though.
Did not want to take the BMW in the snow being rear drive and performance tires. So I told myself to buy a beater with a good gas mileage and fairly reliable so it does not strand me in the middle of winter. Back then it was a cool idea so I got a 92 DX hatchback.
Then trying to do find out about regular maintenace on the car, I stumbled in this forum. Read lots of posts and eventually found out that Integra motor fits! (well what do you know). This was last year and $12,000 later (with a GSR powetrain, GSR suspension, coil overs, cams....balh blah blah...etc), I still dont have a winter car.
I'm now using the my wife's Montero Sport when it snows... LOL!
The Subaru would be a nice car to modify....... uhm I meant to be a winter car. hehe.

That would probably happen if I wasnt a poor 17year old. All the money I get goes right to my parents, I took a loan from them. Then the rest gets dumped into the Camaro 
I dont think I could swap the camaro for a civic, just the sound of it makes me all tingly:D might become an addition though.
