EK question.....
hi guys, i may be comming to the civic forum more often now because ive decided to sell my built CRX, buy my wife a VW(dont ask) and take her 99 civic hatch. my question is should i sell my CRX with the B16a, or take the engine out and put it into the hatch? my expertise lies in the EF nation so id appreciate any help i could get!
BTW its a 91 CRXsi/B16 and a 99 auto DX hatch

don't waste time with the first gen. It's gonna be enough to convert your car to manual without worrying about the cable tranny and OBD systems. Sell it with the B16 and go from there. I would try to sell the hatch, unless you want to run auto B18 or something- which would be dope.
im pretty confidant(sp?) about my mechanic skills so im not worried about the auto to manual conversion. But this is just the kind of advice i need! i did not evan think about the OBD conversion! MUCH THANKS!
and please keep the advice comming and mabey some pics of clean EKs (without body kits please!)

well the hatch is slow and auto!! besides i already have it so its not like getting a new car(just a new engine and suspension) and as for the VW it will either be a 1.8t or a G60 corrado, its for my wife and those of you who are married know, we dont ask questions we just do.....

Well, the first gen B16 has its downs, like 9.6 to 1 C/R(not THAT bad) and the cable tranny. If you do decide to run that engine and figure out the wiring, just bolt up a hydro B series tranny of your liking. With the price of B16's these days, might as well get a 2nd gen, run OBD1 and Hondata. Sell the other swap and you might be down more than a few hundred, but it will be worth it. Good luck with whatever you do

i know a guy that had a corrado (supercharged) that thing was pretty fast for a little car! auto hatch >>>> OH NO- BUT good luck on whatever you do but i think you should consider trading the hatch for a 5spd hatch and then dropping the motor in! auto's suck
its pretty built im running about 11 to 1 right now so shes not bad... and like i said before, the auto to manual conversion dosent bother me, im thinking either a b16b or a b18c5..... ive gotten alot more experience than your average joe working with EF swaps, so im not too nervous about doing a EK and i already have all the tools to work with! plus how often do you get to use a sawzall on a EK!!!
also id like to have some opinions from people who have done B16a2/3 swaps into these bodys!
