exhaust velocity and O2 sensors....
Is it possible that high exhaust velocities due to boost can actually affect the performance of an O2 sensor???
First of all, this is the crappy narrow band O2 sensor, but... I'm fairly certain the car is running fine under boost. No knock, detonation or anything. But, when I reach a certain amount of boost/rpm's my A/F guage just falls completely off. Not just lean, the LED completely disappears. That would indicate an *extremely* lean condition from my N.A. days, but the motor doesn't indicate that is the case at all. I haven't had a chance to install an EGT sensor yet, but I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced trouble with O2 sensor readings under high exhaust velocity situations. Thanks!

Hey I have the exact same problem as you! no one seems to know the answer though. I will say this: when I put my ignition timing back to stock, the a/f gauge would stay on and show the normal rich condition. When I retard it a few degrees like I have it now, the LED's turn off when I get on it. Anyone else know?
