Default o2 + boost?

i need to re-wire my o2 sensor and i am getting ready to put on a turbo pretty soon. will the fact that my o2 sensor is not functioning correctly be bad for the boost. do i need to get the o2 wired up before i can put the turbo on.

i do plan on fixing the o2 sensor it is just not as high priority as other things right now.... unless it needs to be.

Um. Let's start with this:

N/A + Bad O2 sensor = Poor performance

F/I + Bad O2 sensor = Dead engine

Tuning is hard enough with a good O2 reading. You'll just be egging the detonation fairy on without good engine management.

yea make sure everything is perfect n/a before you boost. don't rush into boost if somethings even slightly wrong. better to have imperfect n/a motor that you can at least drive around for now instead of a boosted motor that goes nowhere
