Default Dummy O2 Sensor with Rev Hard Turbo Kit

Hey, My friend has a rev hard kit on his b16a2, and he just got hondata and got it tuned, and he still has a CEL, The O2 sensor is reading boost in the downpipe, one of the shops he goes to told him to try and find a dummy O2 sensor, they are common for domestic but i havent seen any for Honda's. Has anyone had any experince with this? If so where can he get one from? Also if the dummy 02 sensor wont work, what else should/could he try? Thanks alot.

I'm going to start using vdub o2 sensors in my car if they read boost. I have no idea how much boost I'm running on the exhaust side

First off the question made no sense and I dont think anyone reading it understands what your asking. Since the problem is with your car, why dont you restate it? What the hell is a dummy o2 and they dont read boost so maybe that can answer part of your question.

if the car is running ok, why dont you just unplug the light in the back of the gauge pod?

When I was OBDII I had to run an O2 Sensor Simulator on the secondary O2S with the test pipe to avoid limp mode. Worked pretty damn good for me.

ECG sells them. PM zip here on the board. He should be able to give you the info you need.

Code 41 is: Open or short in Primary O2 sensor heater circuit, defective Primary O2 sensor heater circuit. An ECG O2 simulator, or dummy O2 sensor is for your secondary O2 sensor; it makes your ECU think you're using a cat. If you use it on your primary, your car will run crappy.

How can something like an o2 read boost when its in an open line? You can make boost like that in the exhuast. Thats like having a bov port left open with no bov and wondering why there is no beast...its because theres a big hole at the end, the tail pipe. You can pressurize it cause it will just run out.

Here a link for a o2 simhttp://userwww.sfsu.edu/~ecg/o2sim.htm
but like someone else said its for secondary o2 so you can run a test pipe.

I think you should try swaping your primary o2 sensor for a known good one and see if it fixes the problem. I don't know if you have done that yet, but thats what I would probably do first.

Maybe you could take it to someone with a scanner ie. dealer (i could be wrong but...)It will narrow down the problem. (if thats possible) I am assuming you did the paper clip trick to get your error code. Other than that I dunno - sorry I couldn't be of more help to ya

Obviously he is probably confusing the MAP sensor for seeing boost. Instead of baging him for this, since it seems we all know what a Code 41 is, why don't we help him? I'm glad we have a lot of bandwagon jumpers. Yes blowing up was not the most mature thing to do, but why don't we see what we can do. Afterall I thought that's what this board was about, learning. You can't expect everyone to come in here being experts. Anyway's, a dummy O2 sensor will work for secondary only. Test the voltage of the primary O2. Hope you don't have to replace it, they aren't very cheap. Call autoathority and see what they say. Have fun and don't get frustrated by some of the people on here. We aren't all bad.
Later.

thanks for the kind remark Mr Milano, I wish there were more people on here that would help instead of bashing like you say, I am doing my best to learn, and just remember you guys started somewhere also. thanks again

Here is your answer if this is your problem. O2 simulators are for secondary sensors. From the Code #, and people's description, this means your o2 sensors has fouled out. Maybe running to rich. You might want to switch with a working o2 sensors and see what happens.
