hey all just wondering what the diff between the two is. Wanted to get a spoon stroker for my b16a2 but they only sell stroker kit for b16b what's the diff will it fit?

 

supposidely the b16b block is just like the b18c block.Which allows the b16b to use a better rod to stroke ratio because of the taller deck height.

 

so do i need to be worried about clearance if i get the stroker kit since b16b has taller deck height? or should i just get a b18c since the stroker kit for the b16b makes it a 1.8L.

 

You are right on... The B16B block is the same as a GSR/ITR.... It doesn't necassarily yield a R/S better than a B16A but just higher.. It's actually higher than you want, ~1.85 as the B16A has a near perfect 1.74... I love the B18C... It's near 1.6 R/S is perfect for me.. If you get a B16B block rip it's internals out and drop a GSR/ITR crank and rods into it... Then you got the cool B16B stamp with a 1.8L motor... I would sleeve it up to 85mm then you got a 1.98L motor... Good Luck in whatever path you take... Latez
