ITR Crank in B16A?
I'm going to re-build my B16A, heard that B18C R crank & piston works in B16A with tailored rod, is it true?
I got to keep my B16A block and can't swap to B18C block due to some reason, is the aftermarket 1800cc kit the only way?
I got an B18C R crank, rod & piston. Need someone help!

Thanks Greg.
Yeap, I know both height of B18 block is exactly same as B16B, the question is that is it really work, any special modification required except rod?
Anyway, Thx....

never actually done it, I'm inclined to believe you need to modify skirt but not sure ... I do know its possible as Toda Racing sells their stroker kits.
their lighter weight pistons conpensates for some of the lower rod ratio though ...

The B18C crank has displacement 87.2mm
Deck Height of B16 is 203.39mm
Deck Clearance = 0.00mm - run piston tops level with blocks deck
Piston Compression Height = 30mm
Hence,
max Rodsize = Deck_Height - Deck_Clearance - Compression_Height - Stroke/2
= 203.39 - 0.00 - 30 - (87.2)/2
= 129.79mm ROd length, yielding R/S = 1.488
Alternatively, you can order custom pistons with piston pin increased 3mm, so you can achieve a 3mm longer rod
longer rod = 132.79mm, yielding R/S = 1.523mm
NOTE1: R/S 1.488 is extremely low. Honda dont have a stock combination this low.
NOTE2: R/S 1.523 is the same ratio as the ZC & D16 engines, and just short of the 1.58 R/S of the B18C
Personally i am thinking why bother

thanks guys.
I got an B18C R block assembly(without cylinder head assembly), I'm thinking that it's possible to swap crank & piston into an B16A to upgrade to 1800cc instead of swapping the whole cylinder block assebly. There's some issue right here that I can't change the cylinder block.

I had already swaped the B18C R cylinder head ***'y to my B16A, the problem is I can't use the B18C R cyclinder block, it's right here. It's local law that we can't change the cylinder block.........
