Default Suggested break-in for boosted motor?

Just wondering what the best way to break in a turbo setup which is fully built. Which includes sleeved block and the whole deal.

I've heard that you shouldn't boost for say 1500km then boost it?

what do you guys have to say?

thanks,
gen2teg

On race motors, they usually set the 2 step rev limiter and let it run for about 10-15 min and thats it. On a daily driver, you usually want to run it for 500-1000miles without boosting the motor with non-synthetic oil. Once the motor is cranked, you want to rev it to about 3000rpms and let it idle there for around 10-15minutes. A lot of people have their different theories on this subject so pick which one suits you the best.

Actually you want to use non-detergent oil.

yes 1 is right.. if you cant drive the car let it idle for about 20-30mins and check the water temp and check for leaks repeat several times.. rev it up every few mins.. and if you can take it down the street make sure there are no cops hiding in the bushes
