Default Intake Dent

Could a dent on an AEM CAI effect its performance. I will take pics in a few days. It isn't horrible, but its not a ding. Just wondering if it will greatly affect flow. The car feels the same

I've had dents on my previous AEM CAI, some scars and other stuff too. Never noticed a change in performance and did not even know they were there until I removed it. I seriously believe that for a dent to have a drastic effect on performance that the dent would have to pretty deep to obstruct air from going towards the TB.

I dented my Comptech intake tube, and it has made no discernable difference in performance. Comptech will be happy to replace the tube for $125.00 if knowing there is a dent in the intake tube gets too much for me.

The dent/hole in your CAI will prevent your engine from hydrolocking.
