i think i put too much oil in my car... the level on the dipstick is slightly higher than the top hole... so i drained some, but the level stays the same... whas the deal here? is too much oil bad?

 

How much is "slightly" higher?

its about .25" or 5mm up...

but the weird thing is that i drained almost half a quart...and it still the same hieght... and im not sure this is the cause, but the engine jerks slightly at idle... is it b/c there is too much pressure?

5mm is nothing...mine is about that high when I take da kaa to the track

 

Mine is usally a little bit after the dot. It's my excuse to hit more vtec

 

My CRX always burnt oil so I'd overfill it a little bit so that I wouldn't have to worry about getting too low before my next oil change... never had any problems.
