stock p28 revs to 7600????
Finally got the car workin with the obd2-1 converter and stock unchipped p28.. something odd though.. the car revs and cuts off at 7600rpm??? I thought p28 wont let you rev beyond 7200rpm? could it be i somehow got lucky?? car pulls unsually hard to for a b16a in an ek....
Huh i doubt anything is done too it... Most likely the tach is just off... It looks the same way on my friend's Si.. Almost to 8 on the tach but that's just what it says... I used my timing gun and it's right at about 7200.... Rechip it with DOHC VTEC parameters and you'll be set... Latez
the tach is most likly off by at least 200rpm no matter what. but yes 7200rpm is the redline, while the fuel cut off comes in 100-200rpm later, therfore, what you are really hitting is 7300-7400rpm.
its running most likly fairly lean, therfore it may feel good as far as power at this point but doesn't compare to proper ECU
