Friend of mine got a call from a guy he works with... The guy wants to know if you can do a OBD-1 conversion to his S2000. I dont know a whole lot about anything 2001 and newer, but arent RSX's and S2000 OBD-2. Is it possible to run a chipped OBD-1 B series ECU to these cars?

 

I think S2000's are actually OBD III or OBD2.5...not sure tho..

probbably wants to run a test pipe without a cell light and wants to run a better ECU for tuning

 

Yes, he was looking into doing a chipped ECU. A buddy of mine has been experiementing with homemade chips.

he knows honda ecu............
maybe he can tell you what you need..........

 

There isn't one.

Just buy a stand alone ODBII Fuel Management system if you want to play with the ignition and fuel maps. Chipping this car is worthless and it would be a massively huge hassle to shred up all of the wiring.

You cannot convert it to obd-1 because it doesnt run the traditional distributor. The S2000 are distributorless and run coilpacks built into the sparkplug wires. I will be offering the ecu upgrade for Hondata when they come out with it soon...
