Default ignition upgrade

I believe my distributor is going bad and am looking to upgrade the cap and coil. What would be a good choice for this?

Default Re: ignition upgrade (91 EX-R)

Based on your mods to the Accord, It is my honest opinion that the stock ignition is more than adequate for you. You can of course upgrade to a MSD coil, but you won't see any gains from this mod. It mainly helps those who are running Higher compression or some type of forced induction. The Factory ignition in our Honda's is very effecient.
The best upgrade would be to convert to a stock external coil if the distributor has an internal coil in it. This will reduce the the chances of the coil failing due to heat.
