msd distributor cap and seperate ignition coil
I saw this distributor cap with the seperate coil that is not in the distributor. Has anyone tried this and does it work well. My reasoning for this is that a ignition coil costs quite a lot for this car. TIA

Re: msd distributor cap and seperate ignition coil (93solcontender)
yes it does work well, don't expect any power gains from it. But it will make the car start up quicker and rev a little smoother.
They are cheaper than stock coils (if bought from honda)
But you mind as well get the whole package. MSD Ignition Box, Coil, and Cap

I got a MSD coil since my old one crapped out. I have noticed no difference, theres no point in getting one unless your old one is stuffed.
